Open Studio Weekend Countdown ....only 3 weeks to go!
During the Easter Weekend Birregurra's practicing artists invite you to discover their studios, providing an intimate and privileged insight into their arts practice.
The Weekend provides a rare opportunity for visitors to chat with the artists in their studios and view works in progress, pieces that didn't quite make it, and, of course, successful end results. Also, where possible, they may witness the creation of a new work. You are invited to experience the people, space, making process and ideas that unfold within the private studios of artists in and around Birregurra.

The studios will be open Saturday, 19th and Sunday, the 20th of April, 10am - 4pm.
We are counting down the weeks by shining the spotlight on individual, participating artists, giving you a little taster of one of the Open Studios each week.
The '3 week to go' spotlight is on Monica Provan
Monica Provan uses the process of lampworking to make glass beads and cabochons. The combination of original glass works, wire and metal smithing creates unique, wearable works of art.
Monica is one of the talented artist exhibiting and demonstrating at Tarndwarncoort Homestead during the weekend.
She will be demonstrating lampwork and visitors will have the opportunity to participate in a taster workshop on how to make a pair of earrings.
