Scared Weird Frozen Guy
Inside the Artist's Studio featuring Rusty Berther
Thursday 12th June, 7.30-8.30pm at Birre Cafe (71 Main St, Birregurra)
Yep, it's him! That guy that pops up on TV and Radio every now and then.
You've seen him...at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival..on the Bert Newton Show...warming up the crowd at the closing ceremony of the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games...slinging his guitar ho-down style at Gosling Creek Winery...
Most recognisable from former comedy music duo, Scared Weird Little Guys, Rusty is now out on his own—unshackled and enjoying complete artistic freedom.....freelancing as he calls it!
His latest artistic adventure is a book!
A book about a run. Not any kind of run. A marathon. And not any kind of marathon—the Ice Marathon—42 kms through Antarctica, one of the most unforgiving places on Earth.Join us at Birre Cafe on Thursday 12th June at 7.30pm to find out what's inside this artist's studio. We'll dive into the depths of Rusty's creative process, find out how he got his book deal, how he survived the writing and editing process, and about all the glamour and perks that comes with promoting his book (tongue planted firmly in cheek).
This isn't a musical performance. For that kind of show, we'll keep you posted because Rusty's planning on bringing some live music to our little town. Instead, this interview will give you a glimpse into Rusty's personal journey of artistic endeavour and creativity - the nuts and bolts so to speak.
We'll be talking about all things writing, music and comedy. And most importantly.....there'll be plenty of laughs!
Feel free to bring some tab nabs to munch on and share. Snacks and alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase from Birre Cafe. Rusty's book, Scared Weird Frozen Guy, will also be available for purchase on the night.
Birregurra Arts Group bi-monthly meeting will be held before the event at the Senior Citizens Room form 6pm-7pm. Everyone welcome to attend.
Thanks to Birre Cafe for kindly supporting Birregurra Arts Group and June's Inside The Artist's Studio event.
