Birregurra Community Arts Group is very excited to announce that this September we're bringing you two school holiday workshops for your kids and grandkids to enjoy.

Back by popular demand - Willow Weaving Workshop!

Saturday - August 29th, 10am-3pm!

Deans Marsh Artist Veronica Phillips will hold another 1 day Willow Weaving workshop in the Art room of Birregurra Primary School.
The day kicks off at 10am and should finish around 3pm and other bendy mediums, like wire are also explored.

Numbers are limited, so book in early to avoid disappointment.
Costs for members is $50 and non-members $60.

Corangamarah Art Prize: Conceit’15 

$7500 Acquisitive Art Price

The Corangamarah art prize supports local community through its annual art exhibition held at RRRTAG in Cororoke, Victoria

A $7,500 acquisitive prize will be awarded to a contemporary work of art which has been inspired by a happening or experience from the year preceding.

Opening of exhibition and award presented will be on 1st August 2015 at 7.30 pm

Our itinerary also includes an intimate audience with Australian award winning sculptor and artist, Christine Gibson, in her South Yarra home. Christine will give a short talk about her work and share with us her extensive personal art collection.

Christine studied Classical Portraiture in Sculpture in Bucharest under the watch of well-known sculptor, George Turcu.  Having also worked in printmaking, pastel and ceramics, Christine was the 1985 Winner of the Burke Hall Award for Sculpture and the 1982 Winner of Reshid Bey “Portrait of a Sculpture” Award.
