We've got ourselves a job - A BIG JOB!

Wednesday night saw a unanimous vote, from over 35 attendees to the Small Towns Transformations information session, to proceed with the application for $350 000 arts funding for our community. It was an exciting and optimistic session which led to a unanimous vote to proceed with this grant application. Whilst many wheels are already turning, there's still time to have your say and share your vision for arts in our community. All ideas are valuable and worthwhile. Fill out your surveys (available at the Birregurra General Store and GPO) and submit by 1st Dec.

Birregurra Artist enchants at 'Skewed Views' exhibition opening!

Image
Birregurra artist resident, Christine West, along with artists Carole Redlich, Pam Morgan and Ingra Polic opened the exhibition 'Skewed Views' at Red Rock Regional Gallery this Saturday. The exhibition is an exploration of each artist's differing perspective, using the textile medium, and will run until November, the 29th. It represents, above all, a vision of joy and a glimpse into the life of each of the the participating artists, with many of the exhibits touching one personally, but Christine West's Magic Carpet series takes you on a magical trip around the world. Below are but a few images of the opening and some of the works, but they are no substitute for the experience of visiting the exhibition in person - don't miss it!
