Painters Group

Image
Anyone interested in joining an ongoing informal painters group for the purpose of   sharing know-how,   benefiting from mutual creative support and   enjoying casual interactive learning from fellow artists can contact Natalie Newton at natnewt@activ8.net.au or  phone 52362562 The objective of the group is not to be a workshop but to be a continuing, regularly planned get-together of painters in any medium (watercolour, acrylics, oil, pastels or pencils) for the opportunity to create paintings in a group setting which can offer constructive encouragement, or just the chance to work alongside other likeminded artists. Whilst no venue or times have been arranged if enough interest is generated a venue and times (the majority preferred from an offered range) will be organized. A small weekly fee will be applicable to support payment of the venue and for morning or afternoon tea. This fee will be slightly higher for non-BCAG members.   ALL artists of any skill l

Learn how to fundraise in the Creative Partnerships ART CLINIC

MATCH Lab is the new iteration of Creative Partnerships Australia's matched funding program for independent artists and groups.   Many artists and groups  have said that while the matched funding opportunity in previous programs was great for helping them secure donors, they also wanted to benefit from a more hands-on experience with Creative Partnerships Australia to boost their skills in arts fundraising, and learn how to maintain the momentum they’d built in their fundraising campaigns. So an extra component has been added to the program in the Raising Money for Art clinic. The clinic will help participants develop a deeper understanding of what support is out there and how to go about making the approaches they need.   Successful applicants will build their fundraising skills and knowledge at the clinic, and then can put those skills into practice with a fundraising campaign for a nominated project. Their campaigns will be boosted by Creative Partnerships

Musical Mondays 2017 program!

Image
What a musical year 2017 is shaping up to be, as we enjoy the fabulous opportunities the   enLIGHTen Me   project has brought to Birregurra! It is this project, as well as Louise Brown's planned Freedom Concert, that has motivated us to tweak the Musical Mondays program for 2017.  The hope is that the adjusted program will allow everyone to be involved in joyful music making without having to make a choice between Musical Mondays and the opportunities the two worthwhile, above mentioned projects will present. During 2017, Musical Mondays will be held  every last Monday of the month , from February through to, and including, November.   Birregurra Community Arts Group  has re-committed it's financial support for the  Birregurra Singing Circle  for the year and it also will run every last Monday of the month @ 7pm as part of Musical Mondays. All are welcome and the sessions are $5 per person and include a cuppa. A perfect opportunity for you OMM
