Learn how to fundraise in the Creative Partnerships ART CLINIC
MATCH
Lab is the
new iteration of Creative Partnerships Australia's matched funding program for independent artists and
groups.
Many
artists and groups have said that while the matched funding opportunity in
previous programs was great for helping them secure donors, they also wanted to
benefit from a more hands-on experience with Creative Partnerships Australia to
boost their skills in arts fundraising, and learn how to maintain the momentum
they’d built in their fundraising campaigns. So an extra component has been added
to the program in the Raising Money for Art clinic. The clinic will help
participants develop a deeper understanding of what support is out there and how
to go about making the approaches they need.
Successful
applicants will build their fundraising skills and knowledge at the clinic, and
then can put those skills into practice with a fundraising campaign for a
nominated project. Their campaigns will be boosted by Creative Partnerships
Australia matching funds raised, dollar-for-dollar.
As part
of MATCH Lab we’ll fund your attendance at the Raising Money For Art clinic,
your return airfares, two-nights’ accommodation and meals; plus, we’ll match,
dollar-for-dollar, money raised through that fundraising campaign up to $10,000
per participant, to help you leverage support for your new project.
MATCH
Lab can help artists really understand more about their potential to build
private sector support and fund their art in a sustainable way. It’s not a
straight-up grants program; it’s designed to be a professional development
opportunity.
