Birregurra Postcard Project

Image
At the upcoming Birregura Festival, BCAG will be releasing the first BCAG Birregurra Postcard, designed and produced by former Birregurra local and artist Julie Stark. The project was led by our very own Debbie McIntyre and we're very excited to have the postcard available for sale at the festival and local retailers for $1.00. Huge thanks to Debbie and Julie for their hard work on this. It was a fun project to work on and we're sure you'll agree that the postcard is simply beautiful. The aim of the project was to create a piece of art that everyone who visits Birregurra, and lives here, could take home to remind them of the beautiful place we live. We hope to add even more designs and create a beautiful collection in the future. If you are an artist, and want to be a part of this project, please contact us at birreartsgroup@gmail.com . Similarly, if you have any ideas for future project, please contact us or come along to one of the BCAG catch ups so see if we can help

Cookin' on 3 Burners at Birregurra Hall - the house was packed and the joint was jumping!

Birregurra Hall's dancefloor was heaving on Saturday night for the first live music show since the hall's completion and the installation of the permenant sound system and acoustics. It was a full house and the band were on fire! After fabulous vintage rock n roll and soul tunes from guest DJ Lady Blades, Australia's funk-soul darlings hit the stage with two full dancefloor sets featuring a very heavily pregnant but energetic and super sexy Stella Angelico. Her sumptuous gravelly soul vocals seeped deep into the 150 audience's bones as the band's sublime beats, guitar and hammond organ squeals had us jumping up and down with glee - literally. It was like being transported back to the 60s. It was truly a night to remember, and the perfect way to see the new hall and all it's upgrades in action. You could even hear each other talk while the band was at volume, such are the quality of the acoustics and sound. The night was such a community effort! My many t
